Ski cross is a sport of the Freestyle skiing discipline in which multiple skiers directly race on a specially designed course.
The courses used for the sport include natural terrains as well as artificially built features that include big jumps, rollers and high-banked turns.

Ski Cross has a mass start of four racers designed to test the skiers’ skills in turns of a variety of types and sizes, flat sections and traverses, as well as rolls, banks and ridges. The fastest skier wins.


Georgia hosted Ski & Snowboard Cross World Cup test events in 2021 in Bakuriani.
Before that , for the very first time FIS Ski & Snowboard Cross Europa Cup event was held in Gudauri.
Snowboard cross (originally and still frequently called boarder cross) is an event where multiple riders (four in Olympic competition) race simultaneously down the same inclined course with banked turns, jumps, berms, drops, and other artificial features that test the competitors’ balance and control at maximum speeds.
